Jeff used his new awesome axe that his amazing wife got him to chop some wood up north while the ladies watched. Typical women.

Helping g-ma nudes cook. Or something like that.
Just stuffing ALL of the fruit snacks into her mouth so she can spit them ALL out in mommies hand.
Full of taste with no calories. smart girl.
Sporting tights on our head and mismatching floral tops with bottoms are hot right now.

Sunday was the opening day for hunting and louis came prepared.
XOXO

Found a little walking stick for the little tyke on our little hike.

Too bad we don't have wood floors at home or Lana would want to "clean the floor" all day

Up North Get Away

Lana found a pretty cool hiding spot in the kitchen.

"Daddy, that tree fell down!"
"Why yes lana, yes it did"

Louis loved it up north. It may not look like it here, but he really did.

Ok mom! I'm packed and ready to go!

Being in places she should be doing things she shouldn't be doing.
Lana was under the weather for a couple of days. 102 degree fever and pretty cranky. Jeff doesn't look so hot here either. no fever, not cranky, just tired.

It only took me 20 minutes to put her hair up in a pony tail. She's not very patient or still or cooperative.

Probably watching either Tinkerbell or Horton.

Trick-Or-Treating

We had lots of sugar when we got back...
Candy, cookies and hot chocolate. oh my.
Hello, Elmo? are you there?
She may look sweet but she's a little devil in disguise.
Once again, we had to dump out all of our candy and check out what we got.
2 of the houses had hot cider and donuts for trick-or-treaters.
As you can see, it was very windy and cold.

All in all, our first trick-or-treating experience was a success. Lana made it around the block (in 45 minutes) and we got more than enough candy, which by the way is pretty much already gone. Can't wait until next year :)

The Great Pumpkin Walk

After an hour and a half of trick-or-treating down grand river, we finally get home and can dig into the candy.
Suckers seem to be her favorite.
This is what happens when you follow the yellow brick road.
Going through the Wild Goose Inns "Wizard Of Oz"
Lana was scared of the wicked witch and her scary candy bowl.
Lets hope her fascination with glow sticks don't get her in trouble in the future at raves.
CANNNNDY

BEEING FIERCE
Your telling me we walked all this way and this is all of the candy I've gotten?!?!

Pre-Halloween festivities

Jeffs Tinkerbell pumpkin
He found a "Tinkerbell and Friends" fairy carving kit and insisted on carving tinkerbell for lana. 2 hours of carving and a little complaining later...here it is. It looks magnificent!
The ladies cleaned and baked the seeds.
So Jeff...5 years ago would you ever have thought you would be carving a Tinkerbell pumpkin?!
Stirring the seeds with the the pumpkin scraper like soup. yummy, pumpkin seed soup.

Dress rehearsal 2 weeks before halloween.
